Bag2TheFuture - a resource for charities and fundraisers
There are over 7000 registered charities in Ireland raising vital funds for the causes they serve and with growing competition between charities and also the intense pressure due to the economic climate, the role of the charity fundraiser is ever more important.
The Bag2TheFuture fundraising scheme can be used in a multiplicity of ways to help benefit the organisation that needs to raise funds. We can work directly with the charity or organisation concerned in organising bespoke clothes collections or door to door campaigns. We can also work with you in encouraging your corporate supporters to host a clothes collection and we can help by attending joint presentations with them to ensure maximum involvement in the campaign. For charities who have strong links with the education sector, our stable mate company Bag2School works with schools – the parent organisation Bag2School in the UK has now paid out over £17 million to schools. The Bag2TheFuture fund raising model can also be utilised by enterprises who organise charity treks or community development programmes by recommending a clothes collection as one of the fundraising tips an individual can employ.

The Bag2TheFuture are proud to be a major fundraising partner for CanTeen Ireland. For every club/group that has a collection, Bag2TheFuture will donate an additional 10% to CanTeen Ireland, on top of what is paid to your club/group. Please help us to help them.

So what do we actually do?
One of the biggest things we do is Weekends Away. We have 5/ 6 weekends away and go t o activity centres throughout Ireland including Tanagh OEC, Share Holiday Village We have also been to Alton Towers, Barretstown Gang camp, Carlingford Adventure Centre to name but a few. . We have also been to Scotland, and even as far way as Australia, and New Zealand. As a group we meet up 6 to 8 times a year. At these meetings we have a chance to talk, share stories and have a bit of fun.
We then have lunch....PIZZA, PIZZA, and more PIZZA! And then in the afternoon we go on an activity, such as bowling, quasar, painting ceramics etc. To keep you (the member) up to date, we have set up a newsletter that is written by you the members. The Steering Committee is the group that runs CanTeen. It has a majority of teenage members, so it will be you the member who will be making the decisions on what activities etc. which you want to do.

Well done to St. Joseph's Foundation, Charlesville, Co Cork, who raised a fantastic 4,192.50 kgs for their very worthy charity via a Bag2TheFuture clothing collection!

Bag2TheFuture can assist charities and fundraisers throughout the whole Ireland. Our experience of the second hand clothes market ensures that we can offer good prices for the clothing which means maximum financial return for minimum effort - plus it helps the environment too by reducing the amount of textiles going to landfill, so our appeal and the one you can make to your supporters is:
" Don`t throw that funding away "
